RedBow Industries, L.L.C. has been a member of APA since 1998, having purchased the assets of Flohr Metal Fabricators. The staff at Redbow have been active in the "Americanization" of the factory trawler industry in Alaska, starting with the first trawlers built in the United States specifically for the bottom fish industry. Together they designed and fabricated the factory for the first American built surimi factory trawler. From there they went on to build over 25 surimi factory trawlers and shore plants. Many of these factories were installed under Redbow's supervision, working with the customers and shipyard personnel. Most of these customers are members of APA.

RedBow Industries, L.L.C. continues to be very active with the factory trawler plants having just completed revisions to two large factories. They also just completed a new factory on one of the smaller H & G trawlers. This new factory was designed, fabricated and installed in a little over 2-1/2 months and is now successfully fishing in Alaska. Redbow has, maintained a continuity of personnel including shop and install personnel, purchasing, engineering and drafting In addition to the factory trawler activity, RBI continues to design and build salmon, crab and other fish specie individual processing equipment, and complete plants. This past year saw them supply a new pink salmon shore plant facility in Russia doing H&G and fillet product. This was a turn-key project that included installation in a remote part of Russia. They also shipped a crab processing line for a Russian vessel that was installed on board the vessel at a shipyard in Pusan, Korea.

RBI represents Flottweg , on their Decanter , Tricanter and Veronese on the separator line of equipment. Some of the factory trawlers have installed ozone for there water and wash down systems.

The fishing and seafood industry is always a challenge. RBI remains committed to working with the members of APA in helping them with their needs, improve efficiency, increase production and above all, make a profit. Redbow is proud to be one of the first associate members of the original Alaska Factory Trawler Association, and look forward to many years of membership in the future.
